Isnin, Selasa, Rabu then BALIK!!!!!
Selamat Pagi...
Lagi 3 hari aku akan balik kampung...yeay!!! dah 2 bulan lebih aku tak balik, so memang tak sabar2 nak balik la ni.raya plak tu. minggu ni orang2 dah start balik kampung, so makin kosonglah office/ plant. raya tahun ni raya pertama sebagai suami isteri..huhuhu..best best....
Kita cakap pasal bola plak. Weekend lepas, pasukan tersayang menang selesa ke atas Burnley dengan jaringan 4 gol tanpa balas. Hattrick kepada encik Benayoun sementara satu gol lagi disumbangkan encik Kuyt. Lain-lain keputusan yand menarik ialah Man City dengan cemerlangnya menundukkan Pasukan Meriam ( the gunners) dengan 4-2. Adebayor mencetuskan kontravesi, satu pasal cara dia celebrate and lagi satu pasal aksi memijak bekas rakan sepasukan RVP. Juara bertahan BPL, pasukan setan merah menang lagi dengan jaringan 3-1 ke atas Spurs, walaupun bermain dengan 10 org selepas Paul Scholes diberi perintah keluar padang kerana dua kali kena booking. Sekarang tinggal Chelsea dan Man City sahaja yg masih mengekalkan rekod 100% mereka.

Come On you REDS !!!!!
This Sunday the REDS will entertain Newcastle at home. A win is a must if Liverpool still retain the dream of winning the league. With 4 games left to play, everygame is a must win game with the hope of the Mancs slip up in a game or two.
Liverpool remaining games after the Newcatsle game are against West Ham (away), WBA (away) and Spurs (home). While Man Utd remaining games are againts Boro (away), Man City (home), Wigan (home), Arsenal (home) and Hull (away). For the REDS the West Ham and WBA game will be tough and tricky, as West Ham always upset the records whenever they are up againts Liverpool. WBA still harbours hope of suriviving, and games against relegation candidates are always tough. For the MANCS the games againts Boro is a potential slip up, as BORO are fighting for survival and they have a good records against the RED DEVILS in recent season. While the derby against Man City and Arsenal presents Liverpool with hope that the Devils will drop more points although the both games at OT.
The summary is Liverpool must win their remaining games and Man U to drop a few. One interesting facts that i get today is, for the past 2 seasons Man U, in winning the titles has lost more games than their title rivals did. This season Liverpool has only lost 2 games to Man U 4, and yet the REDS are trailing the Champions by 3 points, who still has a game in hand. Why? simple. Man U won more games and drew fewer games than the REDS.
So catch up the games at the tube (ASTRO, check local listing) and happy weekend....

Chimps League Semi Final Wrap Up
Man U beat Arsenal 1-0 through O'shea solitary goal and Barca the wimp master drew blanks againts Chelsea in the Champs League 1st leg semi finals. The Devils still dreaming becoming the 1st team to defend the title win their home encounter again the gooners. It was an open game but lack goals. Expect and explosive 2nd league at the Emirates next week. I'll be rooting for Wenger's side though. In another semi final, Barca the free scoring team of the season, for the first time fail to score at home this season. Chelsea was blame by the Spanish for their over defensive approach. Well, Pep Guardiola need to add a plan B to his team tactical play though. This shows that Barcelona is beatable and yet a complete team. So all the best for the 2nd leg....

Hull 1 Liverpool 3, Selangor won the 2009 FA Cup
Liverpool is back to their winning ways by beating Hull City 3-1. Alonso open the scoring for the REDS. Hull then went to 10 men after a madness at fouling Martin Skertel. Kuyt scored Liverpool's second from a close range header. Hull scored to reduce the score 2-1. Kuyt seal the win for Rafa's men for his 2nd goal and Liverpool's third. The win put the REDS top of the league (mind you Man u still has 2 games in hand). On the other note, the RED GIANTS won the 2009 FA Cup after beating Kelantan tru a penalty shootout. Saffee Sali scored the winning penalty.

A Bridge Too Far
Chelsea 4- Liverpool 4 (Chelsea7-Liverpool 5)
Chelsea come to the game with a great 2 goal advantage after their 3-1 win@Anfield a week before. The REDS need to win by a 3 goal margin to cancel out Chelsea 2 away goals (eg 3-0,4-1,5-2 etc..). With such an almost impossible task to advance to the semi final, most people have write off Liverpool chances and say that it’s for Chelsea to loose the tie. Well this is football, and anything can happen.
The game kicks off at 245++am in the morning (Malaysian time). Can’t really say much about the first half though, as I woke up at 340:D. Still clueless bout the half time score as there’s no internet at the hotel room (there is though with a cost, RM50/day!). Then saw the score at the tube, its LIVERPOOL 2- Chelsea 0 (goals through Aurelio free kick and Alonso’s penalty). Wow, one more goal and the REDS go will go through, but there’s still another 45 minutes to go (Gerrard is in the stand fyi). As I said before, anything can happen in FOOTBALL and winning this tie will add another great comeback, to the already large collection that the REDS have recorded.
So the 2nd half starts, with the REDS need score another goal or two and Chelsea need to shut out the REDS or score another goal or better yet win the game. Basically both sides have a fair shot to win the game and the tie itself. The REDS continued to attack and the travelling fans is full of confidence. At around 61st minute, Chelsea scored. Reina let in a seemingly harmless cross from Anelka at the near post. Its Chelsea 1 Liverpool 2.That makes the task even harder for the men a REDS and relieve to Chelsea. Drogba came closed with a freekick. Then about the 5 mins later, Alex takes the free kick and scores with a thunderous shot with Reina well beaten. What a smashing goal I must say. Then FAT Lampard add the 3rd goal for Chelsea and you must say that Chelsea has won the game as The REDS need to score another 2 goals.
LUCAS scored Liverpool 3rd and to level the score. KUYT scored Liverpool’s 4th 2 or 3 mins later. The REDS go for broke by bringing in Supersub Babbel for Aurelio the left back. As the REDS for the 5th to win the tie, FAT Lampard levelled the score and with less than 5 mins to go, the task is even harder. Final whistle was blown and Chelsea advance to the semis finishing the game 4 all and winning the tie 7-5 in aggregate. What a game I must say. The REDS score 4 goals at an away game but to bad they concede 4 goals. Again the Blues ousted the REDS for the 2nd year running in Europe. Now all focus will be channelled to the League. Good job to the REDS in making the game such a spectacle.

Liverpool 1-Chelsea 3
Liverpool got beaten for the first time in Anfield this season. Torres gives Liverpool a dream start with and early strike. Chelsea came back to score 2 goals from 2 corners, both goals scored by Branislav Ivanovic. Drogba add the third goal which gave Chelsea a comfortable lead and with the 2nd leg at Stamford Bridge, Liverpool task couldnt be any harder.

Champs League Quater Final- Liverpool V Chelsea
The UEFA Champions League(UCL) resumes and tomorrow morning the REDS will meet Chelsea (again) in the quarter final first leg at Anfield. Here are a few interesting facts on Liverpool V Chelsea.
Liverpool have met Chelsea in this competition in every season of Rafa's reign.
The Reds have already beaten Chelsea in both league fixtures this season for the first time since 1989-90.
Liverpool are meeting English opposition in a European tie for the ninth time. The Reds have won just four of the previous 16 games drawing seven times.
This is Chelsea's 17Th season in Europe and their seventh in the European Cup. They have reached the semi-final in this competition four times, all in the last five seasons.

High 5 Liverpool
Liverpool continued their rich vein in form by thrashing Aston Villa 5-0 at Anfield to close the gap with leaders Man Utd to a single point. The leaders suffered a shock loss to Fulham. With 8 games left, The REDS need to continue this kind of performance if they hope to end the title drought and preventing the MANCS from equaling the 18 titles haul so proudly by the REDS.

Four One and Loving It...
Unbelievable? Believe it!!! what a satisfying result indeed, capping a remarkable week for the REDS (they wore the grey strip in this game). A rare double over the bitter rivals and keeping alive the title challenge. It's Rafa 100th league win and to achieve it by thumping the MANCS is even sweeter. Untouchable? i don't think so. So cherish the moment Kopites..

Match Of the Week.. It's Liverpool V Man Utd
Here we go again, its the big match against Man Utd. For most of the fans it's one of the most anticipated game of the season (but not me, as i dreaded the game against the MANC especially at Old Trafford (OT) ). The stake is even bigger as a win would keep the REDS's title challenge alive. A win would cut the gap to 4 points and a rare double against the MANCS, but Man Utd will still have a game in hand. The REDS is on the back of the famous thumping of Real Madrid and morale is high. Torres and Gerrard is fit again, which is a welcoming boost. All in all, a great match is in store. Here are some of interesting facts about today's massive game
Liverpool recorded their first league win over United since April 2004 by winning 2-1 at Anfield early in the season
Liverpool last win in OT was in 2004 courtesy of Danny Murphy's penalty.
Expect goals as there has been only one goalless draw between the sides in the Premiership. That came at Anfield in September 2005
Liverpool have won just 14 times at OT in the league in 113 years. So a win should be celebrated to the max!
catch the game live at ESPN ch812 @2000hrs malaysian time....

Fantastic 4, High 5 Liverpool....
Liverpool 4 Real Madrid 0. Waking up early in the morning and it is simply worth it.The REDS produced yet another vintage performance to see off the Madrid Giant (fyi Real Madrid has won more European Cups than any other club). Sceptics may say it's a flash in the pan kind of win, but who cares. Mind you, Real Madrid has won 10 or 9 straight games before their stuttering performace againts local and bitter rivals Athletico in La Liga last weekend (Torres's former club).
As usual this so call continental teams found it diificult to adapt to the blistering pace that the REDS set on early in the game. As a reward the REDS are up by 2 goal margin by the 28th minute courtesy of Torres and Gerrard goals. After the breather, Stevie G add the 3rd goal to add to Madrid woes in front of the Kop with a sweet strike with a half volley. It's game over for the man in white, as they need to score 4 times to win the game. (i think the last time Liverpool conceded 3 goals was again Chelsea which was 3 t o 4 years back). With the big game coming this weekend againts the Mancs, Rafa took out Gerrard, Torres and Alonso. Andrea Dossena than add up the fourth goal to make the win even sweeter. Final score Liverpool 4 Madrid 0.
This win hopefully will bolster the confident of the REDS for the Saturday game. i guess it's easier to win in Europe compared to win BPL matches againts Boro or Man City. For now lets savour yet another great win in Europe.
